The ATLAS Toroid Magnet system consists of eight Barrel coils housed in separate cryostats and two End-Cap cryostats housing eight coils each. The End-Cap coils systems are rotated by 22.5ÿ with respect to the Barrel Toroids in order to provide radial overlap and to optimise the bending power in the interface regions of both coil systems.
