Valeria Perez Reale, who is Argentinean/Spanish, is a postdoc in ATLAS working at CERN. She wrote us a few paragraphs about herself.

"I studied physics in the Argentinean "Pampas" and came to CERN for the first time in 2002 to work as a summer student for the ALEPH experiment. I fell in love with high-energy physics, with the international working environment at the CERN laboratory and with the Geneva region with its beautiful lake and mountains. This was the first challenge I had in my career since my university group in Argentina was not involved in HEP and I had no contacts with HEP or CERN.

"I have been working for the ATLAS experiment at CERN for almost 6 years now. I contribute to the Trigger and Data Acquisition group, where I am responsible for "hunting good photons and the Higgs". I am really happy to work for a huge international collaboration and get motivated with the challenges and problems that have to be solved every day and exited with the unexpected daily challenges. I also enjoy participating in CERN's outreach programme, were I give tours of the laboratory and ATLAS to students, teachers, physicists and politicians.

"I am a cheerful, happy and smiley person. My daily life is like of any other, I finish my work and then I enjoy doing several hobbies such as cooking, dancing, jogging, and going to the movies with friends. To any student interested in physics I would advise her/him to aim high, be determined, hard working and perseverant."
